In the last quarter of 2022, one-hour webinars will be held for the new programme version MINEA Linear, which will be announced via the newsletter and on the website. The webinars are free to attend and will be recorded as videos. The videos will be made available on this website and will serve as a supplement to the help as support forworking successfully with MINEA. You can access the videos online at any time.

Webinar 1: FRILO + MINEA Efficient analysis and design of masonry buildings
The webinar introduces an holistic OPEN BIM workflow for the analysis and design of masonry buildings based on the coupling of MINEA to FRILO. At first, a masonry building modeled in Allplan is transfered into the FRILO software using the BIM Connector®. Then the model is prepared for structural calculations according to the requirements for a structural analysis model and transferred to FRILO's Building Model GEO program. There, the load cases as well as loads are added and the load transfer for the entire structure is determined. In order to subsequently calculate and design the masonry building with a 3D calculation model, the building data are transferred from FRILO to MINEA via the open source file format SAF. The MINEA software is sepcialised for the design of simple and complex masonry buildings as well as masonry buildings in mixed construction with reinforced concrete under vertical and horizontal loads due to earthquakes and wind. The new interface between FRILO and MINEA enables structural engineers to achieve a new dimension of efficiency and time savings in the structural verification of masonry buildings as the advantages of both software solutions are combined and maximized in a meaningful way.

Webinar 2: Simplified earthquake check after DIN EN 1998-1/NA-2021
Presentation of the simplified table procedure according to DIN EN 1998-1/NA-2021 on the basis of two calculation examples with MINEA. The new earthquake maps, the boundary conditions to be observed and the effects on the slab design are also explained in the course of the seminar. Furthermore, recommendations and approaches for a successful application of the shear wall tables are given.
Webinar 3: Computational verification with the 2D model
The seminar presents the computational verification for regular masonry structures under horizontal actions from wind and earthquake with the 2D model. At the beginning of the webinar, there is a short presentation of the calculation principles with the different model approaches with and without consideration of the frame action. This is followed by an explanation of the use of the materials including the approval databases. The application with system input, input of wind loads and definition of the earthquake actions with selection of the behaviour factor is presented using a practical example. Finally, recommendations for the printout of the verifiable structural analysis are given.
Webinar 4: Computational verification with the 3D model
The seminar covers the presentation of the 3D verification of irregular masonry structures. First, the basics of the calculation model and the calculation settings are explained. Based on this, the essential aspects of the system input for a successful 3D model set-up are explained. This includes the geometry input, the meshing options and the control of the dynamic calculation for the seismic load case. Furthermore, the choice of behaviour factors and the control of a sufficient number modes of vibration for an earthquake calculation are explained. Finally, recommendations for the printout of the verifiable static calculation are given.
